Shiki, for.... certain reasons, doesn't go near the grocery store. Any food these days have come from restaurants, or the convenient store down the street. Both changes have their costs. Her money was running short from the pre-made meals, and the shop offered far too many other tempting knick-knacks.
She's frowning down at her latest finds (a crossword puzzle book, a game magazine, and a purple mug) staked at the top of her grocery bag, when a quiet "crunch!" under her foot makes her look down at the broken-

She carefully steps back, before looking farther down the street, growing only more confused by the spew of eggs across the pavement... Until, among the crowd, she spots a familiar face.
And when she tries to call over to him, all that comes out is a long, loud cough.
